Not sure what to make of this new feature when editing a linked set of prims we now see the outline of each individual prim... I can see in some situations this being a usefull feature but so far ive found it a pain especially when texturing my builds. What is the general concensus on this one ? Is there a way to disable this?

In the regular client i get an outline of the whole surface of the linked shape in first look i get the outline of every single prim in the linked set.

I'm with Lindal  , what you're describing sounds normal to me. Could you post a picture of what you're seeing in both viewers?

Do you mean that you can see outlines of prims hidden behind other prims when the object is selected, and you only want to see the outline of the visible edges? That behavior is controlled by 'Show Hidden Selection' from the Tools menu.
Whether the default behavior changed, I have no idea.

Whether the default behavior changed, I have no idea. Nice one sorted i must have disabled this ages ago on regular viewer and have gotten used to it. Thankyou
