My PC keeps crashing when I am in SL. The error messsage I get is that my video driver is not current. But I have checked and it is current. The video card is a Nvidia GeForce 6200 256 MD Graphics Card. Any hints? I have tried everything I know to fix it and I have in SL for over 2 years.

First go here:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Make sure they really are current. You might even want to try installing any beta drivers they have open to you.

Also you can try backing out your drivers, rebooting, reinstall and reboot again.

Make sure your geforce drivers are uppdate for either Vista or XP PRO.

The New 94.24 forceware drivers are out that might solve your problems.

Hope This helps.............

just like you in the last week or so all i do is crash. Seem the only place im reasonly comfortable in on my private property. My Video card is ATI 9800 128. Now im aware I need to increase my memory. but I have been playing with this card just fine for the pass 3yrs. Im hoping once i get my video card up to par I can once again leave the sactum of my SL home. If not, then i'll put my SL affairs in order. Seem this game is getting as frustrating as R/L. Good Luck With Yours :)

What version are your video drivers?

Some folks find that alternate drivers work better, such as the Omega drivers, available at http://www.omegadrivers.net

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I did re-install the drivers for the video card and it seems to be working better. Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate the help.
