Hi, bit of a noob so hope you'll bear with me.
I have a small plot of land (about 416sq m off the top of my head) & it borders on 2 parcels of 32 sq each. One is owned by an Ad agency and the other by a holdings group. I was thinking of seeing if they might be interested in selling - don't expect to get offered a sensible price but it doesn't hurt to ask.
The thing is that when I bring up About Land on one of them it shows the parcel to be 544 sq, which it most certainly isn't. Has anyone else seen this? How can I make a purchase at a price per sq metre and if I could, would my holding be innacurate & put me on tier fees?
Thanks for any help.

The seller has two plots of land that he has combined to make the 544. It's propbably separated by protected Linden land. See if you can see the other part that is highlighted in yellow when you click on the small plot next to yours.

Land doesn't have to be contiguous to be part of the same parcel. Example: A 12 by 12-meter parcel can have land removed from the center of it and either remaining side belongs to the original parcel.
AAA AAA AAA
can become
ABA ABA ABA
(with B being the subdivided portion)
To find the rest of the land for the parcel in question, right-click the land and notice that its borders are highlighted yellow. Now look for highlight around the rest of the land for that parcel.

Probably he subdivided the land and has more land on that SIM. You're only going to buy that parcel, one parcel, not the total land that owner has in the rest of the SIM The land properties shows your total land and total prims in the hole sim, even if one little parcel is in one corner and another in the other opposite corner. if you're buying 32sq m, then the price should be around 32$L in the perfect world , or 320$L in the average world, or 3200$L in the lunatics world, and usually those ad farms people choose the lunatics world because there, they have all the reasons to do so. i usually multiply the land sq m by 10 to get my "average" price, but the land prices are going down, so now maybe you should multiply the sq m for 9 and see how much of a good deal you can make.

Thanks Guys I found the rest of the land. @Elex - turns out it's more like BACDB . It looks like the holding group might be renting out as there is a house on the rest of the parcel so I might be lucky as they shouldn't have any use for the small separate bit. @dzogchen - I have no intention of approaching the advertisers. I'd already come to the same conclusion on price & I don't want to remind them it's there in case they stick a damn farm on it.

Thought I'd mention that one reason that group has the additional 32 sq m could be for the few extra prims (I think about 6 or 7). Otoh, it might reduce their total tier to 512. Then again, you said it was a group so they get extra 10% allowance, ie 512 + 51 = 563 sqm before their tier goes up.
