hi, i have just sold my first 512 bit of land and my boyfreind and i have bought 2 bits of 512 next door to each other.
i heard that i could join both bits of land together via a group, so i created a group and added my boyfriend to the group as an owner too...now i am stuck as to how to join the land together and donate it to a group...i have read the knowledgebase but it just confuses me...is there someone who can talk me through this process in world please?

If you go into About Land, there is an option to deed to group. That'll do what you need.

But in doing so, be warned that if you allow AutoReturn, all of the objects currently on your land need to be edited to belong to that group or they'll poof.

Hi! You're not stupid!! You're asking all the right stuff! (Besides, I had the same uncertainty so if you're stupid, so am I and we can't have that lol)

The 2 parcels will remain 2 separate parcels.

You deed the land

You won't pay a tier since you get 512m2 for every group member (including yourself) who deeds land to the group + 10%.

This may help http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=268

There are other articles in the knowledge base, as well.

Happy new land!

Hehe, no problem at all. I literally spent a few days staring at the group land information and made sure I really GOT it before I leapt into it with my group.

ok...now i have another problem...i have tried to deed the land but i am told i dont have enough land credits...and when i goto my group and try to 'contribute' 512 it just keeps jumping back to 0 (it says next to the box sq metres (0 max) after reading the link you gave i followed the example instructions and tried to contribute 563sm and 512 sm but it still wouldnt contribute the land...
trying to join the land tells me i dont have enough land parcels in this area...i am both stupid and confused now! lol
also do we both need to be logged in to get any furthur?
