Hi everyone When starting a business, is there a way to ensure that the name that you want to use isnt' already in use by someone else? (A name other than your own) Thanks.  |

No, but there is a way to be reasonably sure. Try searching for the name under places and classifieds. Try alternate spellings (Musical Alchemy and MusicalAlchemy). Search the forums and search the web. If you don't find anything, then you can be reasonably assured that nobody is using this name, or if they are they aren't doing very much with it. I would caution you against using a real life business name or brand name here that you do not own.

Make a business name and make sure you can register the domain for it in RL. Register the domain, then if anybody else in the game ends up with the same name, you can say "hey, i already own the website buddy".
