You can't. The only viable option is to close this account and start a new one.

LL won't allow you to change it, unless you can convice them that the original name is obscene... in which case they will arbitrarily change it to somethoing that they choose.
You will have to create a new account, transfer what you can in terms of L$, land, and transferrable items, and buy new copies of any no-transfer items.
The good news is that McMahon is still an available surname! So you could keep the surname if you can find a desirable first name that no one else has registered yet with McMahon as the surname.

Truth. You can't change it. When I was a noob, I randomly picked a name, off the top of my head, that I thought nobody else would ever use (as is my wont). I guessed right. However, those in SL don't tend to get really parochial about names. They accept you for who you are, not what your name is. So, Master, welcome to SL, and get used to it  |

Okay, thanx everyone for replying. I must live with the fact that my boyfriend's settings have come upon my SL-character then...  If anyone wants to know my SL name is Shania McMahon (and not masterof-blahblahblah... (if he only knew... ) Thx, Shania |

It puts customizable hover text over your head. I use one for an alt that I have, which I had to register as "Maire", and her titler reads "Call me Molly". You just wear it, and say "Title Call me Shania" to change what it says to "Call me Shania".

I would probably address you as MM if we spoke regularly, and mentally think of you as Emmy or something. You could get a titler gadget -- they're free I think -- and set it to read "Shania McMahon."
