I have read so many negative stories about getting ripped off. I just wanted to pass on a GREAT STORY. I was just buying some poses in Adam n Eve. I noticed that I had clicked the 50 on the fast pay when it should have been 75. So I clicked 25 more. Thinking well maybe. But I should had figured, duh, that would not work. So I looked at my account history sure enough it had taken the 50, & the 25, Plus I noticed I paid for 7 other ones but only received 6. I contacted the creator. DG Just in case we are not allowed to do Names... Anyway, he was sooooooooooooo nice. He instantly gave me back the 75 and 50 and gave me a gift as well. no questions, no fuss, no thinking I was trying to rip him off. So if you want a good pose product go to Adam n Eve and click on the pose stands!!!!!!! I am going back now to use my 75 and 50 to buy those great poses!!!!!!!

Not only that, but there's a rumor that a HUGE simulation of Ancient Rome, circa 320 A.D. might be coming to SL... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6743991.stmHow super cool would that be?

Oh? There is already a nice one with a colliseum, market, docks, etc. Not a full sim but a good sized chunk of it. Is this new one going to be bigger?

It's historically accurate and has taken years to research... involved archaologists, anthropologists, etc etc... the details are in the BBC article (link posted earlier).

Can I ask what the three replies have to do with the original thread? I believe you clicked on the wrong one.

Always nice to hear something nice about SL.
For me...Second Life rocks...and I know I'm with a lot of pioneers here who are willing to go through hard times and good times to make this happen.

From: Raske Soyer I believe it was... "I have something NICE to say". I owe those that replied to the original thread an "I'm sorry"! . I can see that what they were doing was "saying something nice" It was just not clear to me at first. I meant the thread as a discussion on not being ripped off by someone, rather an another Resident doing right by the customer. I was just confused. LACK OF SLEEP {see poll on how much sleep you get) If anyone wants to relay something nice COME ON DOWN! What ever it may be, voice, other residents, stores, or a Roman Simulation. (which would be cool )

I have a positive story to add about a merchant; in my case, it's 5ifth Order. I recently was trying to buy several AO poses there, and for some bizarre unknown reason I was automatically declining anything the vendors gave me. (I didn't get the blue popup window offering me the item, it was just declined without asking; I checked all my settings, never did figure out why.) Anyway, I IM'd the creator (again, not sure if we're allowed to name names for good things) and he was extremely helpful, dropped me the poses I was trying to buy and didn't seem to mind at all having to take the extra time to do it. So, points there as well for good service.

Another positive one: I was looking at some items at Pillowtalk and the owner was working on a tree swing with animations. She asked me and my friend to try it for her so she could make some adjustments to it. We did and as soon as she was finished she gave both my friend and me a copy of it. That was really cool of her since it was rather expensive. Thumbs up for her!

I too have found SL merchants to be very honest and helpful - I recall to mind one helping me with an emitter I'd bought and another delivering the hair I had bought and which had failed to arive in my inventory - others too. I am sure any reputable business person would go out of their way to help a customer who has a problem - I certainly would.
