I had some issues with a business owner sent him an IM to which i got a negative response so i filed an abuse report.
Today the issue has been resolved unexpectedly so there is no longer a problem.
Can i cancel my abuse report?
if so, how?

Forward the email you got when you filed the AR to [email]abuse-manager@lindenlab.com[/email] and ask them to cancel it.

LMAO.... Good Luck.... its hard enough to get them to actually pay any attention to an abuse report. much less get them to cancel one.
If you want them to cancel it, you probably have nothing to worry about, it probably already happened...
