instant messages history?

hi there!

are the instant messages sessions being saved somewhere? i just logged off and lost an important information i got via IM... :(

'logging of IM' is on the future development list, I believe.

Is chatt logged after you sign off SL?? I have been searching this for days. :(
Is there a way I can go back and see wut was said at thet ime that I missed before??

Yes, there is. It's under your preferences. I believe you can log all chat and IMs if you check those boxes. I can't remember exactly what's available.

Mia is correct. You can log chats and IMs from Edit -> Preferences -> Communication. The messages are logged to your local hard drive (you can change the location from the same menu.) There is one chat log file, plus one IM log for each person you IM with.

Of course, if you hadn't turned this feature on (it's off by default) then I'm afraid it's gone. :(

If you have this option activated..... then the logs are stored on your local computer. I believe somewhere under you "Document and Settings"-folder.
