alot of attachments and avatars I see, including poseballs, only show up generic grey. If I edit the object and increase transparency from 0 to 2% it fixes it, until I turn it back to 0% again. Anyone know how to fix this. Running Windows XP Pro with GeForce 5600 Ultra video.

Gray usually means that you don't have the texture yet.. A cache clear and relog is probably a good first step, if you haven't done that yet.

Could also be that the sim your on isn't sending you the textures - try going to a different area and seeing if the problem goes away.

Could also be that your network connection is just slow and/or unstable.

Rebake just re-generates what you look like - it doesn't do anything for what other things look like.

Have you tried going to a different sim? Find an empty spot on the map and see how things look there...

has been happening since day one for me.

Oops.. Missed that line somehow - good question, Capella.

You sure your video drivers up-to-date?

Well for one, that card really isn't enough for Second Life, also increasing your RAM would help tremendously as this is a memory hungry place.. Go into your preferances and see what your bit rate is set at.. I know alot of people think more is better, but it should be set close to what your actual ISP rate is, instead of maxed..

Ciao!
