I've been trading lindens for awhile now and its been very stable for the last 2 months, like clockwork. But in th last week or so, the linden is dropping in value a little and the spread is closing up. Its getting hard to make any money for a small player like me Any ideas on why the value of the linden might be dropping?

Could be a sign that the big rush of sign ups is over...

Let's not forget the new exchange fees for many US residents. And the fact that there is seems to be a new policy that seems to affect even those of us who are premium that if we change our payment info, we have a good chance of winding up a 1 day old account trading limit, until we buy L or a premium renewal (and wait 14 days after that for the account to 'reset' to a normal trade limit)... And that's if we can get our payment info to change, or our banks to not block payments TO Linden Labs. The reason the L is weak is because it's become a bigger hassle to use the LindeX overall. I recommend SLExchange's site now. Much more user friendly.

Are they for cashing out, I haven't done that in a while. I'm not sure.. you see, I haven't used my credit card to pay the premium or the tier. But from what I've been reading here, a lot of US users are having to pay an exchange rate fee from their banks because Linden Labs moved their own bank to Britain. I don't think this is for cashing out since that can only be done via a check or Paypal. So, I'm thinking it's due to the user's bank having to convert the payment to Linden's bank into that bank's currency when making a payment TO Linden Labs. JD Linden posted about it on the blog, saying it's not LL's fault for the fees. But that is a whole other discussion. But that blog post alone is enough to discourage me from wanting to use my CC for anything to do with Linden Labs. I don't know if my bank would charge the fee or not, but I'd rather not have to pay it.
