Greetings all, I am just in the process of completing a gallery for my RL and hopefully growing collection of SL photography work. I've put together the basics, and have discovered that the open-air gallery shows off my work much better by starlight than it does sunlight. I know that I can change my own perspective on daylight at any time using the Force Sun option on the menu, but my question is, is there anything I can do so that visitors to my gallery will always at least initially arrive to starlight -- they can of course always change to sunlight themselves afterwards. Please advise FigBash Snook ps, if you would like to visit the gallery, just do a search on sacred portraiture. I am doing avatar portraits for free until I'm happy with my portfolio, so if you like what you see give me a buzz and we'll work on something together.

I think the only sure way to do this is to go to a private estate, where an estate manager can turn on the Override Sun option and make it dark (or light) forever.

The position of the sun can only be changed on a sim-wide basis. Whatever override the user chooses will still be in effect. So if it was night before I TP to the sim, and I set my own perception to Noon, it will seem like Niin when I go to your midnight sim. The sim-wide setting only applies to those using the default sim-provided sun position.
On less than a full, sim, you can't control it. Just post a sign at your gallery, recommending to users that they set their sun position to midnight for the best viewer experience.

an automatic notecard giver, telling the customer to set sun to midnite is possible, too.
