Looking for a particular retro hair style

Hello! I'm looking for a particular prim hair style. There is such a huge variety around that it can be quite hard to narrow down to what you're looking for, so I'm hoping that more experienced hair shoppers can suggest where I should go. I am looking for 1940s and 50s hairstyles, especially that distinctive style with two large rolls of hair at the crown of the head, and Bettie Page-inspired styles. It should be prim but I don't mind if it's not flex; that style wouldn't show much movement IRL anyway. Your recommendations of stores and specific styles would be very welcome. Thank you!

I can think of a few stores where I've seen styles like that... Old Gravy, Kin Keiko, and I believe Nora and Empyrean Emporium. (Bottom floor, can't think at the moment who makes the hair there.) Probably are others, but those are the ones I can think of first.

Thank you for being the first to respond :) I'd tried Old Gravy before but the other three suggestions are new to me, so I'll be sure to check them out!

Happy to help! Depending on how recently you've checked old Gravy, you might want to check back again, they've added a few things recently. Also, a couple more places where I know I've seen similar things: Panache and Artilleri. Good luck! :)

Not certain of precise style but huge range at Gurlywood6 and again, they have changed/enlarged between visits. Good luck!

Many thanks to everyone who's responded. I have found (at Nora's) and bought a good Bettie Page style; now I'm just looking for 1940s styles. 1-800 Bettie's is where this began, as I bought some clothes there and wanted hairstyles to match. Unfortunately the only hairstyles they seem to sell are a sort of flip and a sort of bob, which are not what I was after. Artilleri is good for retro-inspired modern styles with a kind of Gwen Stefani feel to them, I found, and their designer evidently shares my love of cherry patterns.
My only problem with Gurlywood is that the store is so big it takes a long time to navigate. What I love about Elika Tiramisu's ETD hair shop is that right inside the door is a map of the shop to help you - I think more large shops could benefit from doing that.

There's also a nifty retro style in the Naughty Designs [ND] Mall right next to the Backstage at Naughty Designs...

.. whatever happened to that delightful little bistro at the south endof the isalnd? I took someone to look at it the other day and felt such a fool and disappointed when it was an empty plot :(

Many thanks to everyone who responded! I now have the hairstyles I wanted (Pinup, from Kin Keiko, met my 1940s requirement). If any mods swing by this thread could be closed. Cheers!
