OK this may be off-topic, but I am not sure where else to turn. I have a RAC skin I like (trisha) because it is one of the few that allows a non-white identity. (I am Latina). The lack of skins for people of color is a pretty old issue, I know. Here is my problem, in trying on some new hair,I followed instructions that told me to select a taunt shape. I thought this would only affect my head, but no, it messed with my whole skin and shape. How do I start fresh with the Tisha skin? Just putting it back on does not return me to the original skin.Is there some way to start over? thanks for your advice.

You just need to find the shape you were previously wearing and change back to that. Once you do, if it's still carrying the default name, change it to something you'll remember.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

by the way, your post is precisely on-topic.
People use this forum for a variety of things, and rants, vents, and long discussions about LL's policies are all part of it. But Resident Answers really should be for things just like this. Residents ask questions, and other residents help answer.
Good luck on getting back to the shape and skin you prefer. Ann's advice is correct.

I have an RAC skin also, one of the darker shades. For a similar reason.
You dont need any special shape with it, find your original shape and go back.
If you made your own and never actually moved and saved it in your body folder it will be located in your clothing folder that says something like "Female clothing #1" etc.. the generic linden starter avs name.

It is a good idea to keep a folder with your "standard" shape, skin, eyes, etc. so that you can easily find them in case you change shape/skin/etc. when shopping, or something crazy happens.

Shapes sometimes revert the skin to the last one worn with that shape. Im not sure if clears a cache associated with the server or the client, but rebaking the textures fixes this issue as long as the correct skin and shape are being worn. Copyable skins and shapes help. You can create folders with them to make it easier to keep track of what is associated with what. I hope that helps. The other advice here from others is good advice too.
