There's a couple of ways you can do this. One, take the object (wall) and right click, edit. Now select, 'select texture' and click on the side you want transparent. Make sure your 'Texture' tab is clicked and then type in 90 for almost full transparency.

Another way is to upload a full transparent texture that you've created in third party software. Make the backing of the wall with that texture and the rest of the wall in the texture you are wanting.

HTH and best of wishes to you! :-)

/109/32/80851/1.html also a thread in the forums you might be inclined to weed through and see if you can find answers there too.

Have fun! :-)

Drag the texture "totally_clear" directly onto one of the surfaces of the prim. I think totally_clear is in the Library.

On the other side. drag whatever texture you want directly onto the surface of the prim.

You can also texture the whole prim with "totally_clear", hit Ctrl_Alt_T to see it and then drag the opague texture directly onto one of the surfaces of the prim.

The second method makes the side edges of your prim transparent too.

You can also use a script. Create a new script inside the prim, edit it, delete the text and and paste this text in:

default
{
state_entry()
{
llSetAlpha(0,0)
}
}

Save the script. Have a look at the prim; one side should be transparent now. Delete the script and texture the opposite side. That way the transparent side doesn't need to call on the asset server to receive the transparency texture.
