I'm opening a store shortly where I sell pics taken by excellent photographers of the models in the Models Incorporated group, including yours truly.

Now...although the store has enough space to show at least 20 to 25 photo's, I'm just thinking....should I do that or place 1 or more vendors? And what would they cost?

If your store can hold all of your product capacity then just use the single prim vendors (ie - put your pics in a box's contents and place contents for sale). However a cautionary note is the pics in SL can be very easily copied without you recieving any payment so I would try to incorporate some sort of copyright watermark on the display picture.

Single item boxes are always more user friendly than vendors, and therefore will always generate more sales.

Oh, and I second the watermark recommendation. :)

rez a box, put your items in the contents of the prim, in the General tab set the item For Sale using the "contents" button

I generally prefer buy boxes as well, but you might consider the volume of textures you're throwing at people. Since you're selling images themselves, you probably want to show your customer a moderate-resolution image at some point, and a lot of those could be a real pain to load. A vendor will let you keep the initial texture hit more managable.

(Alternatively though, you can just incorporate a flippable non-vendor picture viewer into your shop setup too)

Vendors can be a pain with rezzing images too, depending on the type. With everything on display at once, you can at least go make a cuppa or nip to the loo while it all loads up, rather than chew through a vendor refusing to resolve the images while you're browsing.
