Hello everyone,
I want to know what the best vending solution for my needs are. I want someone to be able to walk into my shop, go to a booth and set up things to sell. I would rather them input items into a server and have the server display the items
They are alloted a certain prim limit but they can place whatever they want in the vendor within those limits. They can set it up for free, but when they sell items a percentage goes to me. I would like to be notified when items are sold, and have available reports on what has sold.
The system should pretty much function on its own from start to finish
I was wondering what system is the best for these options and more?

I'm afraid I don't know of any SL vending system that will do all that.

Ceera, since you don't know the answer to the question, why did you post a (non) answer?

To the OP..
I also have never heard of any script that will cover all those things at once.
However, there are a number of "Rental Boxes" out there.. I beleive that Gigs Taggart has tried them all (and while he's still hoping for a better script for his own needs, he may be able to reccommend one that comes closer to what you're looking for.)
I know there are lots of these box scripts.. that shrink to small size when paid, allowing someone to rent the space the box took up. (presumably it also sends an invite to the mall's group somehow.
Punch "Rental" into SLExchange or SLBoutique... and I think you'll come up with something that way.
There are also a number of vendor systems that will work on the "kickback" pricing sceme, rather than the flat fee for space rental... But ususally you just place that stipulation on your renters that they are responsible for paying you a given percentage. 85% of us can manage that just fine without being "forced" to use your specific vendor package... but one can surely be written for you.. for a price.
My suggestion is to go with the Rental scheme.. let your tennants rent a space using a block. Give them X prims.. and if they make a killing great, and if they make nothing, too bad.. but that way, you have a reliable amount of money coming in from the space rentals.. assuming you can keep the spaces rented.

From: Ridge Cronon I would rather them input items into a server and have the server display the items This is possible, but would require that developers give you full-perm versions of their items in your vendor, and then they need to trust you to not abuse this and to pay them. This pretty much kills any market (who's going to rent a vendor that makes you give away a full-perm copy of your item!) so as far as I know no-one has ever actually gone to the effort of making such a script.
