OK, i know i do not deal with some changes well, so i am willing to admit that it is just me, and would like to know if anybody actually likes the new interface? or thinks it is a improvement, or if they think it is another case of some whiz kid at LL deciding that something simple and working well needs to be "fixed"
Does anybody like not being able to have teh Chat History window open at teh same time as a IM window?
does anybody like having the friends list grouped with teh rest and haveing to chose between a friends list that shows like 4 names without scrolling or having a im window that is like 6 words wide?
this is so much like what they did to the snapshot function, took something simple and easy and made it to me at least MUCH less user friendly.
please someone tell me if there is a way to disable any of this or to customize it, i was unable to find any and honestly i haven't been back in world to try because it disgusted me so much.

Upper right hand corner, that arrow thing will detach it.

I feel *exactly* like you do, stpaulsub. Hate it! I still use an old monitor running 800X600 resolution and in addition to everything you mentioned, the new chat window obliterates a good chunk of my screen.
I chucked it and reinstalled the previous version.

I like the communicate window, being able to rip off the windows such as near me and im's is nice
having friends and group in the same window is very nice (for me)
no complaints here
(had one when I first used it that I could not remove the history window, but now I can)
