Sculptie info is becoming scattered, fast.
Please bring together the sculptie stuff and split that into, "Creation" and "Texturing" (They are connected but are different beasts.)
We need to share this stuff with the community.

well creation of sculpties is prim building and that goes in the building forum and texturing goes in the texturing forums I'm not sure that there needs to be a seperate forum I just think that people have to scroll past the resident answers forum and look at the actual content creation forums that have huge threads on sculpties :)

I made a feature suggestion forum thread suggesting a forum for sculpted prims, with stickies for information specific to each major modeling program used to create and edit them, at /13/4b/185995/1.html .

No responses so far.

I think it is a good idea since sculpties are so different than regular building. Plus it has so many other issues such as types of outside modelers and types of export or render baking.
Not to mention the special challenges of texturing them.

They could be confusing to the new people that want to just learn to build.

Or sculpties could be covered in a Advanced Building Section.

The title "Advanced Building", aside from not being clearly about sculpted prims, is, I suspect, not precisely what one would call "politically correct".

The other kind of building, I suppose, would be "Prim - itive Building". <<Sarcastic Wink. >>

I think it's a good idea. I just downloaded Blender and launched it.......now I have a headache. :) It's going to be rough on this simple mind of mine but I'll figure it out somehow........looks so much fun. But information that us non 3D "modelers" can understand is something I'm looking forward to.
