Anyone else notice prim counts fluctuating with their merchants who use hologram/temp rezz vendors. I have one where it changes with each item that displays, the prim counts go from 63 to 168. Never saw it doing this before the update! Maybe a bug?

I think this started with the last (not yesterdays) update. Temp-on-rez objects started counting against the parcel.
I know this has been reported here in the forums many times but don't see it on the Known Issues list..

Well thank god I talked a freidn out of those temp rezzing machines. I was concerned to find out about temp rezzing because it seemed perfectly obvious to me that temp rezzing was never meant to be used to help players go over their prim limits without having objects returned. I think because of the abuse of the system of temp rezzing LL had to take certain steps to try and curb it since temp rezzing would have meant unlimited prims on a SIM and therefore ENORMOUS fallback on SIM server processing time.

I dont understand the formular from Andrew Linden on this. Does this mean that a temp rezzer will no longer rez and object that will put the prim count over the parcel prim limit?

There are people rezzing up permanent structures, or parts of them with temp rezzers in one sim I have land in. It sucks but apparently it's a free-for-all as far as LL is concerned, the algorithm will take care of it on the unlikely event that the whole sim gets filled with prims.
