Are you happy with the CTO, the VP of Community, and the CEO?

When will the Board of Directors step in and bring in some truly
World Class Management?

Does it seem as if LL is run like an experiment for 50,000 groovy and
very forgiving users, as opposed to reality?

Absolutely.

World Class Management?

When we're no longer happy (no sign of that yet).

very forgiving users, as opposed to reality?

No way.

I'm happy with Robin Linden, I think she's great. I haven't really spoken to any of the others.

As for whether they're doing a good job, there's nothing really to compare so there's no real benchmark. Sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for.

There is a lot to compare to.. there are many services with 1000's of
distributed servers that get it right. There are many services that do
a better job of communication when there are problems (from the CEO
level). There are many services that do a better job at customer relations.

Look, I've met them all. They're groovy people. They're in over their
heads on a big stage. It's not a personal thing - it's a running the business
thing.

Hey you asked for opinions and I gave you mine. I've had disagreements with Robin, she talks to people. I've had disagreements with Blizzard over issues with WoW, they don't talk to you.

Many big companies, you don't get anywhere near people at this level of management.
