How do you find a user name that you have forgotten? I have an alt I would like to log in, but can't remember his name.

If you provided a valid email address you might find something useful at that email address.

You should be able to contact support with an account you can remember the name of, then tell them your real name and other contact info and ask them for a list of accounts.

You might be able to download a password finding and decrypting program and run that and get lucky.

If you made any forum posts, you might search for keywords you used in the posts and recognize the name when you see it.

See if your browser has any passwords stored you can check.

If you can remember roughly when you signed up, you could use windows Search to look at files from that approximate date and see if you find anything with the username in it or something that might jog your memory

If you gave your alt any money or stuff from an account you can remember the login info for, you could check the transaction history for the known account.

Usernames stored on computer

If you are using a windows based machine (not sure is the same for Mac) if you look at C:/Documents and settings/"your windows user name"/application data/Secondlife..... you will see all SL names you've attempted to log onto from that computer
