I am a musician and want to begin playing music at the SL places that host live music. Can someone direct me on how to setup my PC to stream?

This isn't something you do in SL. You need to search the internet for "how to stream music". Once you have a stream server, then, all you do in SL is set a land parcel's music URL to the URL of your stream, same as you would set a stream URL in iTunes or Winamp.

You might find it useful to contact the places your want to play at. They might be able to help streamline the streaming process a bit.
