I have this animation overrider that I got packaged with some animations and it worked fine. The problems started when I added some animations to it and updated the notecards with the animations given in them. I can't load any of the notecards with the animation lists, it just says "there was an error reading the card and to try again". It does this with any card I try to use. I checked them as far as I could for syntax problems but didn't see anything obvious.

Is there any way to get more detailed information about why it's having trouble reading the cards and what to do about it?

Thanks very much in advance!

Spook - did you contact the creator? That would be where I woud start. If you have checked case and syntax in the notecard, dragged all new poses into the AO, AND reset your AO after adding new animations, then I would ask the creator for help.

If (as in your title) the ZHAO overrider is the one you're having trouble with, you might be using the wrong format for the notecards. I have this one myself, and I recently added a second AO set to it. When you add more than one set, you have to use a specific format for the card; a copy should be included in the ZHAO folder, labeled 'new notecard.' If you copy and paste the pose names into that card, save a copy for each AO set (be sure to name the cards so you know which is which!) and then load them in the ZHAO, they should work fine. Good luck!

I'd suggest checking the animations notecard to be sure the spelling is the same. I usually make sure to cut and paste the name from inventory to card to be sure that i don't misspell. Then reset! Hope it helps.

I had edited the blank notecard to add the animations I want - renamed the note card to "works" (without the quoties). Is there anything special that's needed in the note card description?

I think I found someone who can help who is listed on the card as being someone who supports it. We'll see what she says. It would be nice if the error message was a little more verbose about what it's problem is, but what do you want for "free?" ;)

Thanks much for the help!

Maybe with the AO selected with edit on, go to the Upper bar tools tab and go down and select "Reset Scripts In Selection" to have the AO completely reset with the new settings.

One thing that bites my "donkey" once in a while with notecards... occasionally I accidentally leave a blank line at the end, which causes a number of problems depending on the script..

I got it working! I downloaded a newer version of the AO and now it loads the cards. Seems to be working now (fingers crossed!) Thanks for all your help!
