OMG!! What's up with....????

I need help understanding what is happening to me in Second Life...and How do I handle it...or deal with it.

First....I was at a class....and started Floating up...I couldn't control myself...and had to teleport to another location...tried to get back to class...and the same accured again.

What caused this? How can I prevent it from happening again? How do I protect myself ?

Also, this past week, I have found when I teleport to certain areas....My beautiful prim hair attachment is stuck in my 'crotch'...once I had a beautiful ring on...and it was stuck there too...I had to unattach my attachments...it was most embarassing !

Also....if this is a weapon...or an automated bot...or whatever...how do I find out who/what has it ?

There is a weapon that can do this, I believe. The best way to protect yourself is to sit on something (right click and "Sit Here" as soon as you begin to float upwards.



This sounds like there's a problem occuring loading up your attachments after you teleport. When you wear those items, the words "worn on *something*)" should appear after the name in inventory: could you please post what the *something* is?

The hair attachment is set to skull.
So I don't understand why it would be affected by the teleport.

It's one of the shiny new features .

The attachment point doesn't change, and it doesn't ever seem to happen for more than one attachment at a time.

To the OP: just detach and wear again and you'll look normal again .

Usually at a class, there'll be chairs to sit on. You can sit on the ground too, though.

I've had it happen a few times too, it's nothing to worry about.

First thing to do is to take a couple of snapshots, 'cause it looks hilarious.
Next : detach your hair / ring / wings... from the naughty place, and reattach it again. Fixed

(and, don't worry, it's not embarrassing. Not in SL, no no, lol !)

Yes. Just a bit embarassing to realise that the SL avatar "puppet" has its main control string attached, not to its shoulders, but to its crotch. :blush:

I had it worse! I had my shoe in my ass. Not so much a boot in my ass as a stiletto.

Wow, this is making me scared to port anywhere...no telling what might be stuck where when I materialize.

Almost every time I teleport, I end up with both my boots in my ass and my hair in my trouser pocket.

well, I dunno about that..I've arrived after tp's since the update looking like my hair, both shoes..AND my jewelry, is all stuck to my butt/crotch!..heh, and they say you can only have one item on an attachment point!

Weird .

It hasn't happened to me this week, but it happened semi-frequently last week whenever I would tp to a "skybox" but it was always only one attachment that dislocated. Either hair, one shoe, or a piece of jewelry.... all the rest just ended up where it was supposed to go.

I'm also getting both shoes in my ass when I teleport. It was quite funny until I TPed after I had been ice skating... OUCH!

If anyone has a snapshot they can send me, I would be most grateful I have yet to see this - but I sure don't want to experience it!

This happened to me yesterday after teleporting. I had to relog to fix it. If you try to reattach the items it could screw up the attachment configuration, so try it with only one item at first, relog and see if it stays fixed.
