Concern about SL Exchange

Earlier in the weekend the webmaster of SLX filed a take-down DMCA notice against Second Citizen because an anonymous user was being an asshole and posted what was apparently confidential source code of the SLX magic boxes that had been obtained a while back when SL was hacked.
Putting aside the incorrect manner in which the webmaster went about getting the source code removed (he went directly to SC's ISP instead of contacting anyone at SC first; though he disagrees with this and claims he did email someone, the webmaster of SC never received a message despite his contact information being pretty clearly available on the website and with the registrant information) the greater concern I have is the fact that this would only be necessary if SLX is using the same code that was already stolen a year ago.
Attempts to get the webmaster of SLX to verify or disavow this claim have met with myself and many others being banned there for asking about it as well as lots of posts deleted and threads locked. I don't think this is an appropriate way to handle a business in the least.
So to anyone still with items listed on SLX: how do you feel knowing that your items are running under a system whose code was made available to hackers over a year ago? I know I didn't feel safe at all, which was part of the reason why I deleted all of my items from their site as soon as we found out.

It's gone now. There's nothing "fishy," if you'd like the relevant discussions they're over here, but I was trying to keep the issue to SLX running on stolen source code that's been out in the hands of hackers for a year, not the DMCA against SC. http://forums.secondcitizen.com/showthread.php?t=5436http://forums.secondcitizen.com/showthread.php?t=5430

Actually, when you go through the entire thread, you will see it is NOT running on the same source code.
What gets me is the entire thing was fear mongering... with false assumptions... the assumption that source code open/available automatically means insecure is the biggest one.

Being banned from his site for asking this question I only just found out about his claim after I had already posted this here. I don't believe, however, that he would have acted the way he did with such an overreaction and go so far as to ban people from his site without so much as a warning or IM (for me personally I've only ever used his forum for advertising, and I never posted anything worthy of a forum ban besides what you see above) if there weren't a risk. Given the other misstatements he's said and backpedaled on regarding this issue I don't believe him, personally.

I just find it amusing that places like SLEX even exist; after all, if Second Life is supposed to be 'the future of the internet' and all that stuff, surely there should be an in-world place with proper search facilities instead of having to rely on an external, first generation website?
I don't use any of the SL sales sites, partly for that reason, partly because I just don't see a need for it. If I want something, I'll either make it myself, or use the "Search" facility to look for keywords to go and see for myself what it's like instead of a flat picture on a website. I seem to recall that they in fact are full of advertisments - something we most certainly don't need more of.
If a store can't be bothered to advertise itself properly in-world, using proper keywords and suchlike, then I can't be bothered to spend my money with them.

Lewis SLX has its worth because some of you brilliant creative scripters and builders are absolutly worse than useless when it comes to advertizing and marketing your goods and services within Second Life. I am strongly tempted to give a clear example from yesterday but I suspect it is against the TOS.

I'm going to lock this for a number of reasons. - Naming Names
- Naming of SLEX
- Private Discussion
- Discussion of banning (on a third party site)
- Posting about 3rd party legal actions
RA Forum Abuse- Not an announcement forum. Not a general forum either.
There are things I would like to say on this, but they would not befitting of my post.
