HI,

I might have a new idea to make SL even more realistic to RL.
We all know that the SL experience have similar emotions as in RL.

My new idea does make the line with RL even thinner.

But I need HELP from someone wo really knows the INS and OUTs of SL
and who is able to progam new features.

My idea can even make a nice amount of money since it affects every avatar in SL.

Waiting for reactions.

I don't think you're going to get much of a reaction from simply stating that you think you've got a great idea.

I'm too busy to actually do anything right now unless it relates to my current project, but if you want to drop some details I could probably tell you how feasible it is.

You might try posting in the Scripting Forum and/or the Help Wanted/Classifieds section. I would also recommend more details.

Good luck with your venture! :)

Are you looking for someone to change the opensource client or you are looking for someone to write some script?

Are you looking for partners or you are looking for someone to hire?

Are you talking about features that are scripted for use in-world? Because it's highly doubtful that you would be able to change features that are related to the viewer or the functioning of SL itself.

Regan, you could change the features if you want to.. Linden has open source their viewer.. and checkout the viewer's source.

it is a common consensus that coders totally hate when someone say "i've got a great idea but i can't talk about it or it will be stolen"

If you want to interest something you gotta give use something to chew on.

My impression is that the open source projects are a long-term undertaking and nowhere near ready for prime time.

First Look has been in production for quite some time now and still isn't ready to roll out. So I wouldn't hold my breath for any one individual to bankroll a new viewer just for their feature.

Hate to say this - but hope your idea doesnt take off.

I wish you all the best and stuff - But this lines thin enough as it is.

I'll second that. There comes a point where virtual objects can become too real, and as a result, repulsive. SL's already pushing that line (at least it is for me). So I'm actually doubtful that closing the gap further will sell like hotcakes.

SL is a simulation of RL, anything, ANYTHING that can blur the lines between the two I think should be tried atleast

i meant specifically to thin the line - I dont want any more of my RL in SL.

A more realistic simulation isnt thinning the line between SL and RL - its just making SL more realistic.

Thinning the line between rl and SL = BAD

More realistic simulation = Sometimes good.
