Hey all..
Just a quick question...
Could someone tell me, when the update is complete tomorrow, will I have to use the new viewer? Or can I stay on the 1-14 one? I get nervous about changing software when its working for me! lol
Thank you in advance.

I keep reading about viewer update will be required. Is this the First Look Viewer they are talking about?

From: Lestat Foden I keep reading about viewer update will be required. Is this the First Look Viewer they are talking about? In essence yes. The First look will become the New Regular Viewer.

Okay so I don't use first look right now so I'll need to download it. Will I need to download the client software also?

Download the client after the update tomorrow, previous versions will become obsolete, I believe.

Lestat, all you will need is the new Client, once it has been posted, which will be AFTER the update is ready to use. The current First Look viewer will likely not work after the update either.

Cool. So the new viewer will be embedded in the new client software.
Oh great just when I got SL working good for me an update! I guess tomorrow I'll be looking forward to BIOS, Chipset and Driver updates.

You'll also need a few 25LB heat sinks, and an HVAC system integrated into your computer chassis. From: Lestat Foden Cool. So the new viewer will be embedded in the new client software. From: Tiana Whitfield I am so nervous about tomorrow! lol I hate changing anything on my pc when it isn't broke! LOL, yeah me too. I don't have the latest video card drivers on my PC because it will require me to download a BIOS update and new Chipset drivers for my motherboard for it to work. I found a older driver that works fine with SL now. I'm crossing my fingers that the new update will work with my driver so I don't have to do all this crap.

Joy... I"m hoping this means that i can actualy stay in Sl for more then 3 minutes at a time among other things the beta viewers worked better then this present viewer I'm terribly tired of crashing repeatedly trying to just get from one end of my parcel to the other. Pretty much given up being ingame. Thankfully I'm busy outside more and I can make stuff offline at least.

From: Zaphod Kotobide You'll also need a few 25LB heat sinks, and an HVAC system integrated into your computer chassis. Yeah, the current viewer overheats my graphics card -- I can only stay inworld about 3-4 minutes before crashing. I had to go back to the 1.13 veiwer and all my problems immediately vanished. So I'm dreading tomorrow's update. If the crashing issues haven't been fixed in this version, I'm effectively out of the game. Period.

I really don't understand why we need weekly bi-weekly updates anyways. No matter what they do the same issues never get resolved anyways. Ok maybe they do but needless to say its been frustrating lately.
