Sounds like you may have had your account suspended. If you have been griefing at all or breaking any other Terms and Conditions, then this is a likely reason. I wouuld email Linden Labs and get confirmation from them

I disagree. It sounds to me like a formatting error in the message that tells you "you are still logged in; please wait while I log you out, and try again later." It seems that the time is being rendered as a decimal integer instead of as a time. These times are likely stored and transmitted as Linux Epoch values. You did know that the Second Life servers all run Linux, didn`t you?

Oops! I forgot to say "If this is the case, just keep trying, and you should get in fine in a few minutes." ::blush::

This is nothing to panic about.

It simply means your client side version of SL has closed (the part your PC runs) but the server the sim is on has not logged you out yet. Wait 5-10mins and you will be able to log back in.

This happens quite often if SL is especially laggy or the sim you crashed on is lagging a lot.

As for the odd time showing in the message this is a recent bug. It use to give a correct time but about 2 updates ago started giving this odd number for time.

This is currently happening to me...I logged in as my alt, mapped myself, and found where I was standing. deaf, dumb, and blind, apparently.

eerie.

Hopefully I'll log out soon so I can log in.

This same thing Happened to a friend of mine this afternoon, he was forced to Log in on his alternate account because his primary account had Ghosted (Left his Av On the grid after he had logged out.) Most Often it happens during Teleport related Crashes, but it can happen spontaniously as well. Most often it clears by it's self in a few minutes but it can be stuborn occasionally, repeated attempts to log in will generally clear it after a Moment or two. If the Ghost is being obstinate, having the land owner Boot the Ghost off the land (Forcing another teleport) usually clears it right away.

still ghosted.
Any chance someone wants to drop by and try and shoot my av until it logs off?

Ghosting?///OMg thats a old old bug from 1.7 when they sort of fixed it! Again this is happening? whats next crashing inthe teleporting again breaking all the attached scripted objects
Ghosting????????????????How inthe world can his bug still be presnt inthe current server base hardware? The past upgrades whould have done away with all these pre 1.7 cleint bugs.

It's not quite the same kind of ghosting as before. We're calling it ghosting because it shares some properties.

Bugs happen. Seomtimes they look like old bugs. Hopefully this one gets fixed fairly soon. I expect it to.

Hello Ronald.

You did nothing wrong to have this happen. When logging out, if You are experiencing any lag, or the sim itself is experiencing lag, Your game will close as You are logging out, however its almost like a ghosting affect. Your avatar still remains in the game, until the lag subsides, that is why Y ou get that message. Its allowing time for the ghosting to be done to allow You access again.

No worries, it happens to everyone at one time or another. Hope that helps .
