I don't like the one I have now. It's too hard to manuever and it accelerates at crazy speeds going horizontally. Vertically it's great but horizontally it's a nightmare.

Flight Feather. It's free and does the job perfectly.

MystiTool is awesome i must say

but you have to set the 'flight assist' very low, or you go like 1000mph and cant find anything cuz before you know it your 45 sims away from where you wanted to be

Another vote for MystiTool. There's a free version too that has flight assist.

lol

I have no idea what I set mine on when I bought it, but the only time I've gotten spastic was while trying to fly wearing a tiny av. I know how a pinball must feel...

Although, I have to say, watching an itty bitty cow carom around was pretty frickin' hysterical. :D

I have TerraSpeed, made by Cubey Terra-- I'm very happy with it. It attaches as a HUD, has multiple speeds, lets you hover in place at high altitudes, and can send you up or down, either to a specific height or by increments, using a chat command or a drop-down menu.

Where may one obtain one of these?

I use a set of Angel Wings, that I got in a freebie box. I've flown to over 4000 M with them.

The MystiTool HUD sounds interesting... 80% of what it can do sounds very cool. But it is also loaded with a bunch of 'features' that, if used, could get you banned from SL. Orbiting and tossing and killing avatars? Mimicing another avatar? There are some extremely questionable abilities there...

Hey, they're only dangerous if you use 'em! I use my MystiTool mainly for flight assist, avatar scanner, and av finder (sends a particle stream to the av picked up on the scanner- great for locating peeping toms).

True, but no one says the owner has to use those features and there are warnings included on the notecards regarding the possible consequences of doing so. Also, I've played a little with mimicry among friends and the text is green, so it's fairly obvious that the person you're pretending to be isn't actually making whatever statements. I think the creator's goal was just to cover the whole spectrum and there ARE combat sims where those features would be desirable.

Anyway, having radar, flight assist, tp history, quick emotes, sky platform, seating, the follow function, etc, etc, etc, in one menu driven package is totally worth the price. Ignore a couple features and be happy. :)

OMG the platform rezzer is awesome. Rezzes not just a platform (of your desired size and altitude) but optionally sets up guardrails or even a you-can-see-out-but-they-can't-see-in enclosure around it.

If you want to whip up a quick one of your own, the script described in this thread works great:
/54/81/173311/1.html

I've been using it since last August, I leave it on all the time, and it's tremendous for reaching heights quickly (I can fly to 750m almost as fast as I can teleport there...okay, maybe another 2 seconds longer).

I've yet to hit a practical ceiling with it...I've gone to over 100,000m with it...not much to do or see up there though...

The only downside I have is I'll "fall" in place sometimes...I get the flailing arms and legs, but remain at the same altitude.
I find this happens after some teleports, or upon initial login...clicking the "home" button on my keyboard is an immediate fix every time.

i vote for Mysti as well - the platform rezzer has to be worth the cost alone if you have any interest in living/workspacing in the clouds or above! Tasha

The Mysti sounds like a wonderful tool, all right. But the flight feather is free, and it is hard to beat free. Just tried one out. It took me smoothly and easily upward until I got tired and gave up holding my finger on the up button - at 11,111 meters. Sure is quiet up there.

You might check out Mystical Cookie's store in world...last time I checked, there was a free version of MystiTool that had the flight boost, plus a few of the other popular functions.

I like the "No Drift" option that comes with the Mysti flight. I don't know if others come with this or not. Also the various speed options are nice if I am in a hurry.

If you don't want any other gubbins than flight assist, then flight feather gets my vote also. It just works without any fuss.

I have a set of wings that have flight assist, but I tend to just use the flight feather because it's easy. I'm glad to know where the flight feather comes from. It was given to me by another av and I've enjoyed giving them to others too.
