so I set out to sell my land, immediately as I click 'sell' someone buys it, the person i sell it to is not the person listed on the transaction in my account on SL.com.
So this is a land bot I am assuming. Nothing is almost instantanious for me in SL, everything seems to take a moment to open or show up, except this. So what is the deal here? I am very pleased that the land sold asap, it wasn't too much less than what i paid for it and there are parcels of land around it that have never been built on the whole time the sim has been there so I am fortunate. But if I wanted to buy land I'd never be able to buy it instantaniously I'd have to search for it.
So how many other loop holes are out there? and why buy my land so fast when the odds say it's not going to be resold anytime soon.
Oh, the landbot was talking to me too, asked me for a tp after i left the place (he was at my land he bought at the time), which kinda got me creeped out...

I was negotiating with a gentleman over buying a 512 plot, that he was splitting from a larger piece, at a knock down price. He flew off and was away for a while and I could see him in the distance and there were other people with him. He came back and was a bit taken aback because as soon as he had set the price for the smaller plot four people appeared and it was sold straight away. I was surprised that he did noy know about setting it for sale to me but then the fact that he had a realty tag did not mean he knew all about selling land. The question is, how did four “people” know instantly about the price change??

Oh, the landbot was talking to me too, asked me for a tp after i left the place (he was at my land he bought at the time), which kinda got me creeped out... Landbots don't talk. If it was indeed the buyer who was talking to you, then it was an avatar who knows how to buy land fast. He was clicking the land search refresh and your land must have come up at the top of the list (Let me guess, you listed it for less than L$10 a meter) and he tped immediately and clicked "Buy Land". Even a human can do that in less than a minute. Perhaps the names don't match because he was buying for a group. There is also the possibility that a landbot bought your land and the person who tped there was not the buyer but just someone who saw your listing and tped there to buy but was too late. The reason to buy your land so fast is that when it rises to the top of the list, it's a guaranteed bargain (The cheapest mainland per meter in all of SL at the time of the sale), no matter how long it takes to resell. Congrats on selling your land so fast.

The question is, how did four “people” know instantly about the price change?? A lot of people are hitting refresh on the land for sale page in search hoping cheap plots will get listed. As soon as he changed the price, it went to the top of the list and anybody who was refreshing it could see it and tp to the land.
