Are there any educational things that I can do in SL? I have had a really good time in NOAA's collection of sims, and it came to show me that it is possible to learn about First Life while in Second Life.
Also, does anyone know where I can find any big corporation's sims in SL? I have have quite a bit of fun in Nissan, Adidas, and Starwood's sims.

I suggest you keep your eyes on the classifieds for events that instructors hold. (Search > Classifieds > *The thing you wanna learn*)

I liked the nasa areas. There is one where you can run a robot arm so that it smashes into the console.

I second NASA's sim. Really cool!
One of my favorite educational bits is the guard shack back side of the Saturn V hanger...
