After Island Purchase, I cannot purchase Linden Dollars.?

Hi Guys,

I just bought an Island, everything went smooth...

After the purchase i wanted to purchase some Linden Dollars
to be able to purchase items for my Island via the SL-Exchange..

However now came the shock...!!!

Your monthly purchase limit has been exceeded by 1500+ USD
due to the purchase of the Island...???

Atm i cannot even purchase myself a house / anything really,
since i was unaware of the -smart move- to exchange 125 UDS
into Linden Dollars -before- the Island purchase.!

How do I fix this...??

1..Increasing my monthly purchase limit / still a week before thats possible.??
( Im stlll fairly new to SL)..
2..Make a wire via paypal, to make sure my SL-USD account have extra cash.?

Any other possible way to fix this ( fast solution preferred )..??

I can understand ( to some extend ) the exchange from Linden to USD has
limits, but limiting people to the extremes ( 125 UDS a month.?? ) of Linden
Dollar purchases, seems like -Business Harakiri- to me..??

Any ( usefull ) advice will be highly appriciated.

I think theres been a few bugs with land purchases in the last few days. I've struck this a few times. Today, when clicking on a parcel $ sign in the map, instead of displaying the info, it was just a red circle - on all of them.

Its not a bug, or an issue.

Bought an island within my first month, and went over my monthly limit. I was in total $ L lockdown, had no $L at all, I received my island and had no way to buy anything for it in-world

Sl exchange will allow you a small sum - $100US? every three days.

I emailed LL, I sent IM help requests, I asked linden staff in -world, I made an international toll call and spoke to someone in the US, but I had to wait it out. They would not increase my limit, even though I had cash to spend.

Just crazy, and so frustrating.

You could buy from other sources as it will probably take quite a long time to get your allowance increased by LL. SL Exchange sell Lindens, at a better rate too.

So this means that those of us buying complete sims or private islands must make sure that before purchasing the land we have sufficient $L's in our account to get us through the month ahead!

Or do i have to have USD on my SL account to spend first..??

Really hope that I can purchase Linden -directly- via my Visa Card..

until a few days after your first month is up, when your account will change to a higher rater. From sl-exchange i think u get $100US every 3 days, thats what i used to get started with until the limit was raised.

I already ( just now ) exchanged Linden for 100 USD at the SL-Exchange..
Perfectly ok with the 100 USD Sl-exchange limit every 3 days..

I've had good experiences with IGE. I can use my Visa and I am not aware of any limits.

Odd, I just went to IGE, and they no longer list SL in their list of games...

If you use mass payment from PayPal there is no limit on SL Exchange and you can get a better rate buying L$ than on the lindeX anyway.

Ge here http://www.slexchange.com/ and open an account. You can buy L$ through them and don't have to worry about the source since they adhere to the LL Risk API. The current market buy rate is about L$281/1 versus L$267/1 on the LindeX.

Hm. For 10k Lindens I pay roughly 5 USD more at ACS than at SLX.

Is there a place to SELL Lindens as well other than the Lindex?

Thats because they make you pay so much for a sim that they figure you must be broke by now

best rates? Are you using these rates to buy Lindens?

Happened to me too! Couldn't understand it, as my credit card limit is higher. Luckily it was towards the end of the month and I had a bit of Lcash to live on! Maybe a safety measure against CC fraud?
