hi there,
my friend has just purchased a whole lot of land and she is going to start a rental business. I will be helping her. Anyway the reason for my post is i would like to know the best way to find some renters. I know i can list as a place in SL search for $30 a week and list in the appropriate forums on this site. Is it worth advertising in Sl clasifieds? (im thinking probably not as these are just 512 plots) What other real life websites/forums can i list on? (preferably free but willing to pay if it is worth it)
What are other peoples experience of finding renters and what methods did you use?

Post a thread here: /114/1.htmlSites like SL Universe and Second Citizen have similar areas for rental notices. In world classifieds have never worked for me personally. If you place one, don't pay more that $50 for it. Put signs on the land itself, mention it in the about land description and list it in the picks of your profile as well as mentioning it on the first page of your profile. All these things are free. Lastly, tell everyone you know about it. Most of my rentals came from referrals. It helps if the area has nice landscaping and no ugly builds nearby.

What it would take to get me to rent land would be a multiple listing service that shows the down payment, amount of rent, sim name, etc. in a sortable filterable searchable format.

you could try placing a cache on your land to attract people. its kind of a new sport in SL but its growing. www.slgeocaching.com would be the place to start.
