you pay 97.50 per 65536 after the first tier has been reached, unless its an island.

I was told the next level after a sim of mainland is $292, which is a sim and a half. Beyond that, it goes up in half sim increments of $97.50. Two mainland sims (well the equivalent of that much land) is $390. If you do have that much mainland, it should be put in a group to get the 10% bonus (which would be 13,000m extra of land at that point).

The Knowledge Base says this, which fortunately makes it quite simple: From: someone What happens to my tier if I own more than a full region? Any tier beyond the first full region will be assigned in half-region increments at a rate of $97.50 per half region.
