I know it's a small change and not a big deal, especially for those who can't log on or are crashing all the time.
But why did LL feel like they needed to change the water to a very unnatural looking dark blue? The old water color was fine, was attractive and felt "real".
I thought this small detail deserved a thread of its own because I just don't understand why they keep changing things for the worse. Let stuff like the color of water be and focus 100% of your energy on performance issues.
If you feel like you must mess with the nature of things, how about giving us a moon with cycles instead of a full moon all the time? Or give us an occasional rainbow or some clouds with our sunset. But for heaven's sake, don't mess with things that don't need to be messed with!
BRING BACK THE OLD WATER!!

I had noticed a change in the way water looks, but was not sure what it was. There is also a new box to checkmark under graphics, that must be selected to enable vertex enhancments such as bump map and water ripples.

The deeper blue of the sea goes well with a clear blue sky - I haven't checked out how it looks in more overcast situtions yet.
