Help! Items on my rental land

My SL landlord is on a RL cruise for 3 weeks. He is the only one who can remove other people's items from the land.

The land has 4 rental bungalows on it. I currently have 2 large spheres and a helicopter near my bungalow. I cant move them, and the owners are ignoring my IMs to remove them.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of these eyesores? A friend tried to assist but said the helicopter is not a physical object - not sure what that means.

It gets worse - the items are for sale. Other than buying them, what can I do?

This was the main reason I bought my own Mainland land, no one controls what can be done with it. I have to many friends in SL that have been screwed by 'renting' on someones private sim. Paying a heap for land and having no control over it.

What can you do?
Nothing..

You can buy them but you may find you buy a copy and they stay there.

Rent somewhere that the landlord uses group membership to control prims (auto-return, or granting tenants the group role to return non-group prims).

The "not physical" thing is because if an object is physical (has the physical box ticked and can be pushed, bumped etc) then there are tools that can "disrupt" the object and send it off-world with a huge push. So that would be a way to clear up junk vehicles.

Thanks for the response. The landlord is new to the rental business - you can bet that we will be having a conversation once he returns.

Island land owners- residents

There is no reason why the landowner cannot deed you or your group the land, If your landlord is an island owner, have him IM Sara Sullivan and she will show him the model she uses which has hundreds of happy residents.
One advantage of deeding land to residents is the problem you just described. When the resident has all the powers of land ownership it allows you to take care of things like this,
What you can do in the meantime is go to the Region Estate dialog and see if anyone else is named as an estate manager. There should always be alternate people to help take of islands, Sara and Lucy even go as far as granting estate manager rights to many of the long term residents and because of this it is easy for the residents to get help IF its needed.

If you are renting on the Mainland well, u just have to deal with issues through a landlord or anyone he has set up as an officer in the land group being used since mainland rentals cant give renters full and unfettered access to land management options.

I've found that I need to buy land outright for the group. Deeding land to group has done absolutely squat for me - I click the button and nothing happens. Maybe it's just another SL bug....

You can also call a Linden in-game. We had to do that a couple times over the years for various issues. They can help with it too.
