I am a paying resident since March 08, and as of this morning get a log in error message that says ' Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer'.. I was logged in just 7 hours ago and am daily online for about 6 hours, and all of a sudden I get this message.
I have uninstalled SL and reinstallled it, and get the same message.
I tried the resident service live outworld chat, no one answers,
and I have submitted a support tivket, also no answer yet.
I have not griefed anyone and can access my account over SL.com wiht no problems and my status says active.
What the hell is going on? Why do I get this message that my computer cannot access SL anymore, after months of no problems, now I cant log on..ANY IDEAS????
Thankyou for your replies.

i have had that issue, and what helped me was resetting my modem. also check your firewall settings, if you have recently upgraded or changed your pc protection that may have an effect as well. i'm sure someone else has other ideas you can try as well.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

From: Sayden Westland I tried the resident service live outworld chat, no one answers, I would say keep trying that. Or call on the phone. You may have snagged an IP that was tainted by someone else. At least from one recent anecdote, it is best to get in touch with LL and clear this up earlier rather than later. Seems they keep track of stuff forever.
