Aloha! I own a relatively large plot of land beside a linden road (pave it already!!!) and restricting object entry has not been working for me ever. It's becoming a bit of a pain as I regularly come around to find that someone has left spy scripts, or junk they are trying to sell, or the misc car that has crashed (one time through the wall of my house... kind of amusing but still...).
My question is, is it possible to restrict object entry on roadside land or am I just out of luck? I've got it set to allow it for group members only and have tried restricting object entry entirely but regardless the land doesn't change/use the setting. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you restricted object creation as well? If not, that will be why. Object entry only stops already rezzed items like cars entering. Gomez

i think but im not 100% positive but it wont stop part of an item from coming onto your land so they can put like 49% of an item onto your land as long as the majority of the item is still on another piece of land but i may be wrong

yes but...

Granted, as long as the center of the prim is still outside the border, then what you are saying is correct I believe. That isn't exactly the problem though. It's 100% of an object being on my land and not even having the icon for "OE restricted" showing up. Literally anyone could come stuff an object onto my land and I have nothing I can do to stop it. Lately I'm redoing everything I had on my land, and have set up auto return so I don't have to constantly do an about land to check for stray/intentionally placed prims, and with ~2500 prims availible to me it's not such a big deal at the moment. It eventually will be a big deal when I use close to all of that and some jerk comes along and throws some high prim object into my land causing things to be returned.

yes. I've restricted object creation and scripts as well. The only one that isn't taking is the object entry restriction.

It's as if people can fly their junky planes or spaceships wherever they like and then leave them abandoned even on 'no build' land. I regularly had the same problem - despite setting everything to prevent such things although....thinking about it - turning ON auto-return helped i think - just be IMMENSLY CAREFUL switching on auto-return - it so often ends in tears!!!!
