This is my 3rd or 4th piece of land I have owned. On each previous occasion by setting the price just a little below the normal for the area, as soon as I finish setting up the sale details and click the sell button, some avatar swoops down and snaps it up. This time, in spite of being substantially underpriced, I have had only one person looking at it.
It's a lovely region, hardly any sky junk, Linden Maintenance beach etc - and exactly the sort of place I thought residents were crying out for.
Do some sims have "blight" - like in real life where people don't want to buy in an area because they have heard rumours an airport or motorway is going to be built nearby? Or has there been some sudden dry-up in people joining SL and therefore wanting land? Or maybe a sudden glut of new sims brought online upsetting land values in general?

People heard a lot of rumours lately. Well, not really rumours, but official blog posts. Not sure if this is the time they'd want to buy land and invest money here.

Surely not everyone on SL joined in order to do ageplay sex? Is that what it is then do you think? I thought I just hadn't understood something about what is good land and what isn't.

What's around you? Anything horrid, like a casino or a club or something?

There's a Pizza Hut a few parcels down the beach, where they do welcome people to come and dance. Seems pleasant enough. There is an art gallery. Next door to me there is a sort of factory where the land owner the other side of me makes houses to place on rental lots - but it is all low-rise stuff. There is only one house in the sky and that is a few parcels away. I chose the area due to it looking so realistic. I am only selling now cos - well call me boring but I have run out of things I feel moved to do in the world. I built this (well I think it is) lovely house, went in and out of it a few times and thought what can I do now and realised I didn't feel like doing it any more lol. Spent loads of real money in my short time as a resident too
