Always hovering on login - any solutions?

Folks,
Wonder if you can help me with this one. It's been going on as long as I can remember, but, being lazy, I've never tried to sort it out.
Problem is: each time I log in, I'm hovering a touch off the ground. A quick fly/stop-fly gets me down to the ground again, and it's fine until I log out. Next time, hovering again.
I've tried stripping off all attachments and logging back in in nothing but the standard skin: no luck, I'm still hovering.
On a Macbook Pro here, if that helps.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try?

I have the same problem, and sometimes when I teleport. Odd.

I have the same problem at times. I use the Flt/Stop Fly method as well. A nuisance, but the least of my worries in the SL scheme of things.

Try resetting your home position when you are not flying.

Hmm, were you flying or standing on something when you last logged off? I have yet to test this, but I swear that lately when I log out while flying that I either hover or am still flying when I log back in.

If your question was for me, Faybot, I rarely fly and would never make a landmark while flying. Short answer: No I'm not flying when I make the landmarks--ever. And yet, I seem to always be hovering when I log-on. I chalk it up to one of the countless SL client glitches we all experience. |

O.o Of all the things I've read people complaining about, hovering when you log in/after teleport probably has to be one of the strangest yet. The question is *why* does it bother you? Are you afraid someone is going to look up your pants and see something they shouldn't (one reason I wear underwear  )? Are you hiding weapons up there? I accept it as part of the program, tap page down to land and leave it at that. It probably doesn't even take half a second at that. |

There are no problems in SL, there are only 'features'.
Some of 'em are pretty darn quirky tho, huh?

It was a slight technical problem in SL, I had the problem several times before. Almost every time i need to log out the viewer. From: Pie Psaltery There are no problems in SL, there are only 'features'.
