need favor/contact resident inworld for me

Hi,
I need a favor from someone who is able to get into SL inworld. Could you IM a friend and tell him that I am not able to get logged in after this last update and that I am okay and will be there when i can figure out what the *bleep* is wrong.

His SL name is Steamer Stanley.

Thank you both so much...I appreciate it alot!

I finally got on tonight. But I think it was a fluke. I just locked up and now cant get back on. Of course there are over 13,000 logged in. I think SL is going to need to do some upgrading of their own.

In the event you haven't done an uninstall of SL before installing the current client you might give that a try.

The current update was an optional one so if you could still get in-world with the previous version which still seems to up for download (the windows one anyway, don't know about Mac) at
http://secondlife.com/downloads/viewer/Second%20Life%201-12-3-4%20Setup.exe

Do try SuezanneC's suggestion first of all, if that fails do another uninstall before installing the older update or SL is likely to get very confused :).

If you manage to get back in world be sure to bug report and point out that the 1.12.3.4 works for you but the 1.12.3.6 doesn't and hopefully it's something that resolves itself with the next update.

I'm curious...you say it is 'optional'...and I have seen notes here about an "optional viewer" but...when I am signing into SL, it says a download/update is necessary...i dont remember the exact wording but it gives you the option of downloading the update, or quitting. So..how is it "optional".

Well i was able to get in earlier, but cant again...but i think its just way too many people logged in.


*sigh

I need to get out more...this is killing me not being able to log in..lol
