Credit Card fraud?

First; sorry for my English - it's not my first language.

On my credit card bill, I find my Second Life spendings as "LINDEN LAB, 800-9616851 7, USA (amount) USD", and I find the same amounts in my online Account History on http://secondlife.com/account/transactions.php.

But on the credit card bill I also find three withdrawals marked "SECOND LIFE, 1 800 8606994, GREAT BRITAIN AND NOTHERN IRLAND (amount) USD", which I can't find in my Account History.

I might have been to drunk to remember all my spendings :-) but can't understand why Second Life suddenly should charge me from Britain! And since those charges don't show up on my account history, I presume that they are false.

I have mailed billing@secondlife.com about this, but not gotten any answer except for an automated one. This is quite frustrating, for two reasons: I must, of course, know if the charges are false before I ask VISA to give me my money back.

But more seriously, if these charges are false, that means that somebody knows both my credit card details AND that I am an SL member. That tells me that using credit cards in Second Life is totally unsecure - which would take some of the fun out of it, actually ...

Does anybody know anything about this?

There were some threads that alledged that LL had changed banks over to a UK one, and some people were as a result charged foreign transaction fees, but those were very small charges (less than $1 US I think).

I'd keep on trying to reach billing because they'll be the only ones who can answer this for you.

Well, the fees charged from my credit card are in US$ although the bank is in the UK. And it is far more than one dollar, I haven't access to the credit card bill now, but there were several (4 I think) charges, and the largest one was more than US$20.

Yeah, I guess - very frustrating not getting any answer - I can't keep on using SL if I'm not sure my credit card information is handled correctly!

But thank you very much for your answer!
