I've accidently turned something on.. since that moment objects and avatars are emitting blue, red, green and yellow particles.. I can't find how to turn it off.

The only way is to turn on View, Beacons, Hide Particles but I have to do that every time I log on and I'm not seeing the particles anymore I'm supposed to see. Even tried deinstalling and installing SL again but didn't help.

SL is like a psychedelic trip on acid right now and it's driving me crazy! Can someone please help me.

When you uninstall SL, it leaves your settings behind. Make sure you clean all folders, including the ones in 'Documents and settings - <username> applications - secondlife', then use a registry cleaner before, cold rebooting to clear any cache's. Then reinstall a fresh copy of the programme.
