My viewer was working just fine until last nite when my computer crashes and asks me to choose last known good configuration.....apparently it took me back to before the FL viewer was released as when i log in to sl, it tells me there is an "optional" viewer dl ...which i took because it had caused me no issues prior.

Now when i log in, i get to the point where Quicktime is initializing and get the crash logger.

Did a clean install, checked to make sure my video drivers are updated, still the same thing.

So... I call LL to get some help....waited on hold for more than 30 minutes before being told there was no agent available, sent to voice mail to leave a support ticket. I still cannot log in, i dont know what other help i can get, so i am wondering if there may be anyone else with the same issue who has a solution?

I have so much to do in world, this is really frustrating. Please help me

If you haven't already... completely uninstall and then reinstall SL.

That might fix it.

Uninstall Quicktime and see if SL will start up.

Well that did the trick, however QT is a beast to get out of your pc! Ty so much for suggesting that, I know it was right under my nose but after several hours of trying everything else, I was just an idiot.

You weren't an idiot. You were properly frustrated with the whole of the issue. I had this happen too, when I had to 'repair' my Windows XP because it lost a good portion of it's DLL's after a completely unexpected power outage. (No clouds in the area, so no storms and there wasn't an announcement of a planned outage.) Quicktime, after that, failed to work and I couldn't uninstall it to do a clean reinstall. At least an overwrite fixed it temporarily, until I could back off the stuff on the main drive onto the second.

I always choose the QT version that doesn't include iTunes, or the 'automatic software updater', both are a pain and the updater can turn into a listener type programme, pinging the QT servers whist I play. Getting QT off my system is very easy, providing you don't have the iTunes installed, that is a real pain to get rid of, it assumes you didn't mean to remove it, so its entries remain in the registry.
