The Kapor region is going to be used for the SLCC2007 event in Chicago and has been transferred to Chadrick Linden. In the process, auto - return has been disabled and the sim is slowly filling with broken vehicles. Nearby sims are crashing, and lag is unbearable.

My requests to help just disappear when I press return, and it's been about half an hour since the first (SL stopped responding afterward so I don't know if that one went through). 20 min since the most recent.

When the help button breaks, who do you turn to?

That's a good question. I believe instant messages are having problems in world as my message to Help Request seemed to disappear also. I'm not certain though because it happened to me before. I push enter and cannot see my message, leave the window open, then a Linden responds when they get the chance. It's hard to say. I suppose you could get a Linden's attention in the Technical Issues forum.....

I was going to suggest making a thread in the First Look Viewer and Current Viewer feedback forums but this problem seems to be related to the server. Those forums are more geared towards bug issues in the program you download on to your computer. There is a general blog post about these problems on Sunday and today. You can try the blog if comments are enabled for the issue at hand which they are not at the moment. This makes me believe they realize something is wrong and are working on it.

(I think I am going to start a thread in the Feature Suggestion Forum asking Linden Labs to please open a forum titled: Grid Performance Feedback.)

Help requests aren't real, neither is Santa, and your parents never loved you.

Any more questions?

Something like auto-return falls under land management I think. Send an email to support@secondlife.com and in the subject line use [land] plus the name of the sim plus the coordinates of the parcel and something indicative like 'needs auto return' then in the body of the email give the full details.

It works. I've done it. It might take 3 or 4 days because they do have a big backlog but they do get to it. Having the pertinent info in the subject line helps speed it up since it can go right to the correct person instead of going through one backlog delay just to figure out where to route it.

Help requests are quite real, however the hope that they will be responded to is a complete myth.

They are real, and they do get responded to, as best as Live Helpers can, and believe me some of the Live Helpers go above and beyond at times when trying to solve a problem.

There are probably times when some requests don't get answered, and at the moment there is a problem with IM's as someone else said, so your help request may not actually be getting to anyone.
