Last one: 60 hours. No joke. On a Saturday at that. Made the request Thursday at noon, got it Saturday midnight.

Hm, I'll check my pending cash-out. It's been a while, and I have a bunch more to chash out now but I'm waiting for the last one to complete before I start another.

ADDITION: March 20, how many business days is that?

ADDITION2: Morning of March 29, just got the money in Paypal. For reference, I've never sent them a message hounding them, I just always wait. This is the longest I've ever had to wait.

However, the current system is lacking, to put it kindly.

I received a Process Credit Request Confirmation dated March 15, 2007. I understand it is supposed to take up to five business days to confirm my account details and credit my Premium Verified PayPal account. Since then, however, I have heard nothing from Linden Labs and my PayPal account has not been credited.

Although I am an American and have American bank accounts and an American Premium Verified PayPal account, I am overseas at this time and someone has suggested requesting a credit from a foreign IP may be the issue. At any rate, I have not heard this (or anything else) from Linden Labs.

I called support (thank goodness for Skype), where I was informed by a recording that customers were experiencing waits of 5-6 minutes. For every 5 seconds of elevator music, I heard 10 seconds of a recording telling me how important my call was. After about 45 minutes on hold, my call was disconnected. I sent an e-mail to billing support, and have received no response.

I believe next time I cash out I will look carefully at 3rd-party exchanges, on the theory that their business relies on customer satisfaction and trust. Can anyone provide me with any recommendations? Some of them seem to offer frightfully disadvantageous exchange rates.

My funds cleared on working day nine, and I got a response from my posting (on day eight) on the web feedback page for credit processing, on day ten :)

Hmm I have one pending from March 25th. I cash out regularly, and it typically takes a week for my funds to get to PayPal from LL. All I can say to those waiting on payments, is keep hounding the phone weasels. ;) I hate being on hold too, but if you keep calling and leaving voice mail, they'll have to deal with you at some point. If you can find a Linden in billing, try IMing them in world. Be polite of course, but persistence is a virtue, I've found.

UPDATE: My Process Credit Request from March 15 was just fulfilled. Let's call it business day 10.

Yay!

Edit: Another day has elapsed, and I received an email from Billing support telling me my request was filled. So LL has tied up all the loose ends.

I phoned from the Uk - their office telephone number - and asked to speak to their PR team as I warned them I was going public about SL poor customer support.

Finally got to speak to a human being (who actually gave me his name!) in the LL PR department.... complained about their customet support service and issue finally resolved....

Not quite kosher, I know but sometimes it's worth getting round the "normal" phone system to complain... it was worth every penny of the call from the UK to San fran.

It took six working days, and one complaint the day before it cleared to the billing department, for me to get my last cashout.

Especially since it's a international toll-free (00800) number :)

Actually, I've often wondered if the international lines have a better chance of being answered than the skype/domestic US calls - I've read all kinds of horror stories posted here about answering times - but my calls from the UK have always been put through to a human within minutes. Admittedly it's a few months since the last time I rang, but I encouraged a (UK) friend to call about her paypal cashout problem last week, and she got answered very quickly too. My experience with phone support to LL has always been good.

My wife and I cash out almost weekly, and it seems to take around 4-5 days on average for us. I don't recall ever having any of the payouts take 12 days(!!!), though I think there was a period of time where it would take 6 or 7 days.

Drives me nuts!

Average time for me is about 9 days. I can understand some delay for fraud protection but if other institutions can monitor fraud and process transactions in a working week I don't see any reason why LL can't unless their banking our cash and creaming the extra days interest. In which case I suppose we could claim against them for our loss of interest.

It just seems totally random.

I have gotten paid from LL in as little as 2 days (in fact, I just got paid today from one I requested on Monday) while I see other people saying they've been waiting ridiculously long amounts of time. It doesn't make sense that if there are people on here complaining that they've been waiting over 10 or 12 days and some people are getting paid in a much shorter period of time within that same timeframe.

Silly LL.

For the record, the transaction prior to the one I did monday took them about 12 days...

My fastest turnaround was 3 hours. srsly

Incidentally, since I finally got the one from March 20 I started another this morning; here's hoping it doesn't take forever!

Most people dont disclose the size of the transactions, and that might be the missing piece of the puzzle.

perhaps multi thousand USD transactions take longer because of more due diligence required on LL's part to prevent fraud......

as far as my transaction it was for 100USD even and it took 5 business days and i have been in game since march 7th so im still in my 1st 30 days 'restricted' trading limits.

I've wondered that myself but I have had delays with $47 up to $2600 on one occasion. I usually take out in the last week of the month so I don't know whether timing has anything to do with it? I'm at a loss until LL proffer a reason why it happens.

Vote on the proposal below to get a response to this issue.
