Skybox rental system - problem

Hi,

I want to install some skyboxes to rent out.

I have the following problem:
A renter pays the rent via a rental box script and I give him the TP locations.
After a couple of weeks he stops paying the rent.

How can I verify that he is not using the skybox from time to time with his girlfriend ?
How can I verify that someone with a spaceship flying arround and find the skyboxes is not using them ?

I don't want to use a access list because the skyboxes are above the shopping mall.

Maybe make them set to allow use to only those in a rental group that you own in groups for your tenants?

If your tenant would like their friends to hang out with them at the skybox, could they ask for their friends to be added to the group to? I have rented at a couple of places that have done this :)

That way when the rent stops rolling in... you can evict them from the group which would disable their use of the skybox..

Not sure if this may be an idea :)

Access list wouldn't affect the skybox anyway, it only works for the first 50m above ground level. You need a security orb, there are many for sale on slexchange.....

it's also possible with some rental sytems to adjust the rental box in a way that it isn't possible to enter a building when no rent is payd, also can put a script in the doors that responses to the rental box... no payment?..sorry no entrance

That's true but when you have the TP location you can go in.

Not necessarily. Some rental systems rez a large prim inside, that gets removed or shrunk when rent is paid. If rent is not paid, there's no room inside.

I put security orbs in mine, with a range of just 32 metres. The orb setup is for group entry, so anyone in the group, for example, called SkyBox 01 Tenant Group, can enter. The tenant can then put his friends into that group, and all is fine. When he ceases being a tenant, you clear the members from that group, and put the next tenant in. If the old tenant returns, or a passing spaceship docks, they get ejected by the security orb. No unsightly ban lines, no effect on your malls, perfect solution.

Sadly, I ended up resorting to a security orb myself. My personal space was constantly being used by one particular av. Banning did nothing since I had it placed pretty high up. My next step was an invisible phantom prim that handed them a notecard asking them to leave (politely) when they ran into it. Next step, a nicely worded sign on the wall. When none of this stopped them, I put in an orb with just their name being banned.

I left the invisible prim in place to track whoever showed up to see if they did come by again. After the first notification that they'd been warned, then TP'd home, I haven't seen that av show up again, nor have I seen new names (i.e. free account made to bypass the orb).

My orb can be group only/allowed list only/or ban list. If you're on the ban list, you get notification, if you're not, you don't even know it's there.

Simply move the skybox up or down a few meters, this will cause the landmark to land outside the skybox. As a plus if the land is NoFly, then it makes it that much harder to get in the skybox. problem solved.

Set the options so that object entry/rezzing is limited to group only. Turn on autoreturn. Kick them out of the group. Lock the doors and remove access to the doors. What is the point of staying there if they can't rez objects? If they return and start using other people's stuff, ban them. There is no need for a security orb, IMO, not like they aren't useful in other respects.
