OOpys! I have a rezzing seahorse that is supposed to be in the sea.......but I buried it on the beach by mistake, and now I have a nice beach with seahorses flying through the air. I am renting and cant edit the land to lower it to get the rez horse...........I tried going into about land, and viewing all the things I own, but it doesn't light up......

Help!!!

Try opening the debug menu, client, disable camera constraints, then cam around until you find it.

Or make sure "Select only my objects" is ticked, open an edit menu, and draw a box around the area on the beach where they're rezzing, until you capture it and can move it.

Or turn off the ground in the debug menu (don't know exact location of this one) and then find it.

Or pick up everything else then have your landlord return it to you.

Hmm i know how to get around this but am not at home so cant double check the way.
You need to turn off the 'surface' allowing you to see bellow ground level.

I'm sure its in the client drop down menu (cant remember how to show the 'client and server drop down's if you dont already have them, sorry!) Somwhere there you can turn all kinds of stuff off, clouds, fog, grass etc... look for ground or surface, or somthing like that :D

Vauge i know but there's no need to edit the land, i'm sure someone will clarify how to do this..

ctrl + alt + d to turn on the debug options

look under client -> rendering look for surface patch and turn it off, this will make the land dissapear

Is the rez horse transparent? If so, go into View and then Highlight Transparent. The little blighter will show up in red.

I have to say the image your title conjoured up is rather lovely

Look for "Particle Source". Your sea horses are almost surely from a particle generator prim. That prim may be transparent.

I had a similar problem with my Svarga bat rezzer. In trying to move it, I accidentally flung it somewhere. Fortunately, at nightfall the bats appeared so I knew it was somewhere on my land, but the rezzer itself was incredibly small and I simply couldn't find it even when scripted objects were highlighted.

What it took was staring down at my land and waiting for each new bat to rezz, then noting the area in which they first appeared. After awhile I was able to determine the approximate origin and got closer and closer as I selected blocks of air with a selection tool.

The rezzer finally showed up as this teensy little square hiding in a tree and I was able to nail the sucker.

Beebo, I laughed at this as I've been there with 'flinging' things. I flung it UNDERGROUND!!!! Sl makes me laugh sometimes, even as fustrating as it can be...........I think I am going to start a thread of "What makes you Laugh in SL"
