Real Life Showcase of student Art in SL your views

I am not sure if this is the place to be writing about this but, I am a student doing a post grad course in the UK, and for my dissertation I would like to combine secondlife and real life by offering students a chance to showcase there art work from within secondlife. This area would link to a central or personnal area of the student in order to help showcase there work. As I said im not to sure if this is the right place to be suggesting this but i would be intrested to hear your views the links would not be for students to sell there work purely as a way to look into new ways of displaying there material through either fine art, photgraphy, digital media or penciled sketches.

Having a place online would allow students to collaborate from within a virtual metaverse from potentially any where in the world sharing ideas and helping share inspiration.

Well please let me know what you think and let me know if you have any ideas on how I could improve this or if you think you could help me achieve this.

I am a self taught disabled artist not student but I am exploring ways to show case my own art but being new I haven't figured it out. Keep me posted of your progress I am curious what others are doing who are artist here
